Our Quality Guarantee
We offer a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects and premature quality issues. This warranty covers the structural integrity and craftsmanship of your jewellery under normal wear conditions.
What's Covered
Our warranty includes protection against:
Manufacturing Defects:
- Faulty clasps that fail to close or stay closed under normal use
- Stones or pearls that fall out due to poor setting (not due to impact or force)
- Chains or links that break, snap, or split due to manufacturing flaws
- Defective extension chains or components
Hardware Failures:
- Jump rings or connectors that break or snap due to manufacturing defects
- Premature plating failure (excessive peeling, bubbling, or plating coming off in large areas within 12 months)
- Structural failures of the stainless steel base (corrosion, cracking, warping)
Important Note About Jump Rings:
All stainless steel jump rings are unwelded by design - this is both a functional feature and a safety measure - unwelded jump rings provide a safe breakpoint. Stainless steel is extremely high-tensile, so if jewellery gets caught on something, an unwelded jump ring can open to prevent injury rather than causing harm.
What this means for you:
- Jump rings that open, stretch, or separate due to pulling, snagging, or external force are not covered under warranty (this is how they're designed to function for your safety)
- Jump rings that break, snap, or fail under normal wear ARE covered under warranty (this would indicate a manufacturing defect)
Quality Issues
- Pieces that arrive damaged or defective
- Items that don't match the quality standards described on our website
What's Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
Normal Wear & Tear:
- Gradual fading of gold plating over time (expected with all plated jewellery)
- Light scratches from daily wear
- Natural patina development on metals
Damage from Misuse or External Force:
- Breakage from excessive pulling, stretching, or impact
- Jump rings that open due to snagging on clothing or being pulled
- Damage caused by babies, toddlers, or pets pulling on jewellery
- Charms that come off due to catching on clothing, bags, or other objects
- Damage from exposure to harsh chemicals or cleaning products
- Alterations made by third parties
- Loss or theft
Customer Preference:
- Changes of mind about style or size - covered under our return policy
- Damage from improper care or storage
How to Make a Warranty Claim
Making a warranty claim is simple:
- Contact Us - Email customersupport@kairoandalora.com within 12 months of purchase
- Provide Details - Include your order number, photos of the issue, and a brief description
- Our Response - We'll assess your claim and respond within 2-3 business days
- Resolution - If approved, we'll arrange repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate
What We'll Do
If your warranty claim is approved, we'll:
- Repair the item if possible (at no cost to you)
- Replace with an identical or equivalent piece
- Refund your purchase if repair/replacement isn't feasible
- Cover shipping both ways for warranty claims
Important Notes
Proof of Purchase: Please keep your receipt or order confirmation as proof of purchase date. This helps us process your warranty claim quickly.
Care Requirements: To maintain warranty coverage, pieces should be cared for according to our care guide. Damage from improper care may void warranty protection.
Assessment Process: We may request photos or ask you to return the item for assessment. Our quality team will evaluate each claim fairly and promptly.
Warranty Claim Costs: Approved warranty claims are completely free - we cover all repair/replacement costs and shipping both ways. You won't pay anything for a valid warranty claim.
